SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State men's track & field team competed in the Mike Fanelli Track Classic at Cox Stadium. The meet is the largest the Gators will compete in all year and one of the largest in the country, featuring athletes from all across the country. The meet is named after SF State great Mike Fanelli, who holds the record for the 10000 meter and is third all-time in the 5000 meter.
During Saturday's events,
Jose Torres was honored as the Mike Fanelli Scholarship recipient.
Joey Manahan had a personal best time of 33.11.65 to lead the pack of Gators in the 10000 meter.
