SAN FRANCISCO — Kody Gardner of the San Francisco State baseball team earned CCAA Player of the Week for March 27-April 2. This is the second time the senior from Sacramento has earned it this season previously earning it on February 13.

In four games at Cal State LA, Gardner went 7-for-14 (.500) and slashed .929/.588/1.517 to lead the Gators to a 3-1 series victory over the Golden Eagles. The senior left-handed batter hit for the cycle in the series with four singles, a double, a triple and a homer. Gardner drove in seven runs and scored five times to power the SF State offense, which outscored LA 38-12 in the series.

 Gardner has helped led the Gators to the top batting average in the conference and 11th best in the NCAA. The Gators are currently hitting .339 with Gardner hitting .363. Gardner also ranks ninth in the conference with 27 RBIs.

The Gators return home for a four game series with Cal State San Marcos starting on April 6th at 3 p.m.
