WTRK | Gators Compete at Brutus Hamilton

BERKELEY, Calif.  – The San Francisco State women's track & field team competed in the Brutus Hamilton Invitational hosted by Cal at Edwards Stadium. Lauren George and Madison Algarin competed in their first multi event of the season on April 6 and 7 while the rest of the squad competed on April 8.

George scored 2930 points while Algarin scored 2746 points in the multi event. George's best performance of the meet came in the 200m dash where she scored 731 points by crossing the finish line with a time of 731.

Assata Polk and Dami Oyatayo broke the one minute mark in the 400m race for the first time this season, finishing with times of 58.90 and 58.96 respectively. The time was Polk's second persona best of the meet as she clocked in at 26.46 in the 200m. Katy O'Brien and Zyah Harris-Bazuaye also finished with personal best times in the 200m with Harris-Bazuaye adding a personal best time in the 100m as well.

A few Gators will compete at the prestigious Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific from April 13-15. The rest of the team will stay home to compete at the Johnny Mathis Invitational on April 14-15.
