Kai DeLeon has been named to the 2023 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-West Region Softball Second Team.
This is the second All-Region honor for DeLeon, who last week earned NFCA Division II All-West Region Softball Second Team honors. The Turlock native is a two-time CCAA Second Team selection and in 2023, she led the Gators to a 27-23 finish, with the 27 wins the eighth most in program history. The sophomore second baseman appeared in 47 games, all starts, out of a possible 50 games. DeLeon's .341 batting average was 12th best in the conference, her 30 runs scored were tied for fifth most, and her 46 hits were tied for 13th. All three of those stats led the Gators in 2023. DeLeon also posted a .964 fielding percentage and had a hand in turning 15 double plays.
