CARSON, Calif. — San Francisco State softball players Kai DeLeon and Daniella Guerrera have earned 2023 All-CCAA honors. DeLeon was named to Second Team for the second time in her career while Guerrera garnered Honorable Mention.

DeLeon makes it back-to-back years earning Second Team honors. The sophomore second baseman appeared in 47 games, all starts, out of a possible 50 games. DeLeon's .341 batting average was 12th best in the conference, her 30 runs scored were tied for fifth most, and her 46 hits were tied for 13th. All three of those stats led the Gators in 2023. The Turlock native also posted a .964 fielding percentage and had a hand in turning 15 double plays.

Guerrera started 48 games and hit .320/.405/.547. She smashed a team-high seven home runs, which was tied for fifth in the CCAA, and was tied for the team lead with 22 RBIs, good for 16th in the CCAA. The sophomore right fielder posted a .932 fielding percentage.

The Gators finished the regular season with a 27-23 overall record and the 27 wins are the eighth most in program history. SF State is currently ranked No. 7 in the NCAA Division II West Region poll and will have to wait and see if their regular season record is enough to earn a spot in the eight-team regional, May 11-13.
