SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The San Francisco women's track & field team wrapped up the CCAA Championships Saturday.
Macaria Moore-Bastide,
Amy Christensen and
Mattie Cecilio all reached the podium with Moore-Bastide and Christensen winning their respective events. The Gators finished in sixth with 63 points, just 3.75 points off of fifth place Stanislaus State.
Christensen posted a new personal best with a mark of 3.89m. Christensen, who already owns the school record, was .07m off of tying the meet record. Moore-Bastide was close to being joined by teammate
Sabrina Carle-Parra on the podium for the high jump. Carle-Parra had a personal best mark of 1.56m and took fourth due to faulting on her first jump at 1.48m.
Cecilio led a strong triple jumper contigent that placed three Gators in the top eight. Essence Jacksn and
Dezirae Smith placed fifth and sixth to also earn points at the Championships.
Lamiah George ran a personal best in the 100m to place sixth, the highest finish of a runner that weekend.
