SAN FRANCISCO - With the conclusion of the NCAA Division II baseball season, San Francisco State's
Nick Upstill sits atop the leader board in triples. His nine triples on the season are tied with two other players.
Upstill had a season to remember. The Huntington Beach native started in 47 of 49 games in left field and led the team with a .367 batting average, 69 hits and 36 runs. He also recorded 30 RBIs, six doubles, six stolen bases and a home run. On May 6th against Sonoma State, he broke the school triple's record with his 12th career triple.
For his outstanding season, Upstill earned All-CCAA First Team Honors and NCBWA All-West Honorable Mention. Upstill was also the SF State Athletic Department Male Athlete of the Year.
As a team, the Gators ranked fourth in the NCAA with 25 triples.
