SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's soccer team held its home opener at Cox Stadium Thursday Afternoon against Seattle Pacific. The Gators fell 1-0, allowing a goal in the 81st minute.
- Seattle Pacific was selected to finish second in the GNAC, behind defending NCAA Champion Western Washington.
- The Gators have a 0-6 record against the Falcons since 2000 with four of those losses 1-0.
- Both teams were equal on corners with six a piece.
- Gators were called for fouls 12 times and drew two yellow cards compared to Seattle Pacific's six.
The Gators' best chance at scoring came in the 32nd minute when Emily Monson found Samantha Shinn in the box for a one-on-one match with the keeper but the keeper slid to make the stop.
In the 81st minute, Kylie Tone charged the ball coming towards her and deflected it but left the net open for Seattle Pacific to score.
Kylie Tone (0-3) played all 90 minutes and made three saves while allowing one goal. Landry Schoennauer made one save to shut the Gators out.
