SPOKANE, Wash. - The San Francisco State women's track and field team traveled back to the Podium for the first meet of 2024 to race in the Spokane Indoor Challenge. The Gators opened the year recording two NCAA provisional marks and several top ten marks.
Macaria Moore-Bastide jumped an NCAA provisional mark of 1.71m to place second in the high jump. The mark stands as the fourth-best mark recorded in NCAA Division II this season.
Sabrina Carle-Parra cleared 1.56m in the high jump, good for sixth best mark in school history.
Amy Christensen placed fourth in the pole vault and cleared 3.65m. Her teammate, freshmanÂ
Alexis Wachowski, cleared 3.05m for the fourth best mark in school history.
Mattie Cecilio had a pair of top ten marks in the long jump and triple jump. She jumped 5.34m in the long jump for sixth place and fifth in school history. With a jump of 12.00m in the triple jump, Cecilio moved into second all-time and improved on her previous provisional mark.
The Gators had a pair of 60m runners clock in with top 10 times and were just shy of running NCAA provisional times.
Zharia Dixon and
Sanaia Woods both ran the 60m prelims, finishing with times of 7.71 and 7.76 respectively. The pair moved into fifth and sixth place. The NCAA provisional time is 7.65.
