SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State women's cross country team ran in the annual SF State Invitational, held at Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate park. After a week of heat, the weather cooled off just in time for the meet with sunny skies and temperatures in the 60's. SF State finished eighth out of 10 teams.
Julia Pioroda led the Gators for the first time in her career and finished with a 47th place finish and time of 23:56.6.
Yolo Javier and
Audrey Nakamura finished not too far behind her and placed 51st and 54th.
After the conclusion of the meet, the Gators honored seniors
Sydney Seyer and
Daisy Salinas.
