SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State wrestling team (2-2) rolled to a 30-17 win over Menlo on Saturday, their second win on the young season.
The Gators stormed out to a 6-0 lead after a forfeit in 125 lb., and Brayden Concepcion made it 9-0 wiht a 4-2 victory at 133 lb.. Menlo got on the board with a forfeit of their own at 141 lb., but Sean Yamasaki tallied a big five points for the Gators with a 17-0 tech fall win at 149 lb.. Zane Stoddard made it a 20-6 advantage after 157 lb with a win by fall in 2:42. The Oaks got back-to-back decisions at 165 and 174 lbs., cutting the score to 20-12 before Kevin Clements Jr. won by fall in 2:39 at 184 lb., his third win of the season. Felipe De Matos wrapped things up in 285 lb with a major decision, 12-1 for the 30-17 victory.Â
