CHICO, Calif. — The San Francisco State women's basketball team took a lead late in the third quarter but a poor fourth quarter led to a 87-69 loss to Chico State at Art Acker Gym.
- SF State fall to 5-15 overall and 4-11 in CCAA action. The Lumberjacks improve to 15-6 and 11-4 in the conference.
- Alexsandra Alvarado scored a season-high 27 points, just one shy of her season high.
- The Gators only shot 7.69 percent from the field in the fourth quarter while Chico shot 56.25 percent.
- SF State was a perfect 14-for-14 at the line.

Chico State got some separation from the Gators in a tight early first quarter, using a 12-3 run to go up 24-15 in the final minute and a half of the quarter.
Imani Felix scored the basket and-one in the final seconds to cut Chico's lead to 27-20 at the end of one. Alvarado had back-to-back baskets to open the second quarter and
Sage Bridges-Bey jumper got the Gators within one. But Chico responded with a pair of baskets of their own and the Gators could not overtake the Wildcats in the second. Down 47-38 in the third quarter, the Gators were quiet the first two and a half minutes but found their stride and outscored the Wildcats 24-9 to take a 62-58 lead with a little over a minute remaining in the third. Chico made a pair of free throws to cut the Gator's lead to two with one frame remaining. The Gators could not replicate the offense they had in the third, only scoring one basket while the Wildcats continued to land shots.
