SAN DIEGO - The San Francisco State women's track and field team kicked off Spring Break with a pair of meets in the San Diego area. The Gators first competed in the Mangrum Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos. The team then traveled a little further south for the Point Loma Invitational.
In her first meet of the outdoor season,
Macaria Moore-Bastide recorded a personal best and NCAA Provisional mark of 1.76m to win the high jump at the Mangrum invite. The mark is currently the second best in the country. She would also win the event at the Point Loma invite with a 1.70m jump
Zharia Dixon led the Gator sprinters on both days. She matched her season best time of 12.31 at the Mangrum Invite and improved upon in at the Point Loma invite with a time of 12.21.
Kennedi Jones placed first in the shot put at the Point Loma Invite with a 10.59m mark. Making her long jump debut,
Amy Christensen placed third with a 5.00m mark, tying teammate
Mattie Cecilio.
