NEW ORLEANS - Three athletes from the San Francisco State women's track & field team earned All-Regional Honors as announced Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Macaria Moore-Bastide earned it for the high jump,
Mattie Cecilio for the triple jump and Amy Christiansen for the Pole Vault. All three earned this honor last season as well.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Moore-Bastide jumped a season best mark of 1.72m at the GVSU Big Meet on February 10. She competes at the NCAA Championships on March 8. Last season, she finished eighth to earn All-American honors.
Cecilio jumped 12.14 at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on February 23.
Amy Christensen re-broke her own school record and cleared 3.75m at the Spokane Invitational on December 9.Â
