2024 All-CCAA Softball

SB | Four Gators Earn All-CCAA Honors

Kai DeLeon, Elise Roy, Daniella Guerrera, and Marley Gonzales earned 2024 All-CCAA honors.
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Four San Francisco State softball players have been named to the CCAA All-Conference Team, the conference announced on Tuesday, April 30. Second baseman Kai DeLeon, outfielder Daniella Guerrera, and freshman Elise Roy were all named to the Second Team while catcher Marley Gonzales garnered honorable mention.

DeLeon earns Second Team honors for the third time in her career. The junior from Turlock, California has started all 47 games and leads the Gators in batting (.311), OBP (.410), AB (148), hits (46), runs (31), walks (22), and total bases (57).  Her 21 stolen bases are second on the team and third in the CCAA and her 47 career steals currently rank seventh all-time in program history with. She was also named the February 12 CCAA Player of the Week.
 
Guerrera, who was an Honorable Mention in 2023, has appeared in all 47 games with 46 starts. The junior from Folsom, California leads the team with 26 RBI and is second on the team in batting .307/.355/.407 and hits (43). She's also tallied 14 runs, 12 walks, a home run, and is 4-for-4 on the basepaths. 
 
Roy, a true freshman from Campbell, California, is 13-8 on the season in 24 appearances with 19 starts, and was named CCAA Pitcher of the Week for April 8-14. She boasts a 2.24 ERA, fourth-lowest in the CCAA, with a .232 opponent batting average, which is fifth. She is sixth in innings pitched with 128.0 and sixth in wins with 13. She has hurled 12 complete games with four shutouts, 51 strikeouts, and a 1.27 WHIP.
 
Gonzales, who has started all 47 games, is hitting .283 with 41 hits, 25 runs, 10 extra base hits, 12 walks, and eight RBI. She also leads the team with 22 stolen bases, which is second in the CCAA. She is also second in the league with a dozen sacrifice bunts. The Atwater, California native's defensive value has been just as impressive, where she leads the CCAA with 15 base runners thrown out. 
 
The Gators are the No. 6 seed in the CCAA Tournament and will play in a first-round elimination game on Wednesday, May 1 at Noon vs. the No. 3 seed, Cal State Dominguez Hills. For more information, visit Tournament Central.
