WTRK | Women's Track & Field Has Strong Showing at Sac State, Stanislaus Multis

SACRAMENTO -  The San Francisco State women's track and field team kicked off the week at the Stanislaus Multi Invite, where Yanise Harris and Madison Algarin competed in the heptathlon for the first time this season on April 4th and 5th. The rest of the squad were up in Sacramento for the Sac State invite on April 6.

Harris had a fifth place finish in the 100m hurdles while Algarin finished fifth in the javelin and 200m to highlight their week.

The hurdles had a strong showing at the Sacramento Invite. Viviann Luong and Lydia Binger ran personal best times of 15.26 and 15.35 respectively in the 100m hurdle while Katy O'Brien was close to hitting a personal best time. Binger led the pack in the 400m hurdle. She finished in 1:06.33, just .1 second off her personal best time.  Jaden Nixon led the Gators in the 200m with a personal best time of 25.80.

The Gators travel to socal to take part in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate meet, hosted by Long Beach State on April 11. The Gators will stay down there for the Bryan Clay Invitational April 12-13.
