WTK | Moore-Bastide Wraps Up Season At Outdoor Championships

Emporia, Kan. — The San Francisco State women's track & field season came to a close on Saturday at the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Emporia, Kansas. The three-day event was hosted by Emporia State at  Francis G. Welch Stadium.

Macaria Moore-Bastide represented the Gators in the high jump and finished in 13th place in the field of 21. A two-time All-American in Indoor track & field, Moore-Bastide entered Nationals with the fifth best jump in Division II at 1.76m. On Saturday, Moore-Bastide cleared 1.61m in her second jump and cleared 1.66m in her first attempt. However, her season came to a close after missing the mark at 1.71m.

Concordia St. Paul senior Arika Harbo won the event with a season-best jump of 1.80m. She started at 1.66m and cleared all five of her jumps in her first attempt before failing to clear 1.84m. Pittsburg State claimed both the men's and women's team titles, with the women's team earning 100 points and the men's team capturing a third consecutive title.
