SAN MARCOS, Calif. - Despite only having three shots all game and facing a firey offense the majority of the game, the San Francisco State women's soccer team beat Cal State San Marcos 2-1.

- Kiralyn Kuramoto's goal was her first career goal. Emily Gehrlein-Allen's was her first of the season.
- The Gators pick up a win over the Cougars for the first time since 2018.
- San Marcos dominated the Gators offensively and outshot them 23-3. They also held a 10-3 advantage on corner kicks.
- Serrena Brito recorded her first career assist.
Serrena Brito found Kiralyn Kuramoto mid field and Kuramoto sailed the ball in the left corner for a goal in the 20th minute. Gehrlein-Allen beat out a defender on the left side, found open space and shot the ball in the right corner right outside of the box.
The Gators faced an offensive onslaught from the Cougars to open the second half. They took three straight corners with Kylie Tone tipping the ball out of play each time. The Cougars finally broke through in the 74th minute when Addison Leite scored from the right side. While the San Marcos offense continued to attack the net, they were unable to score again and the Gators' held on for the win.
Kylie Tone (1-1-2) had her best performance of the season and recorded 11 saves, one shy of her career-high. San Marco's Emma Calvillo did not record a save.
