ATHERTON, Calif. - The San Francisco State wrestling team kicked off the 2025-26 season at the Menlo Invite. The Gators had a strong showing to start the season with seven wrestlers finishing in the top three of their respective weight classes.

Nathan Glass headlined the tournament with a win at 285lbs. His path to first included a fall, major decision and another fall in the championship round.

Basil Othman (157lbs), Kyle Botehlo (165lbs) and Josiah Hurd (174lbs) each fell in the championship match and placed second. Hayden Ancheta, Shea Dawson and Andre Dargani wrestled their way through the other side of the bracket to finish third.
