WSOC | Five Gators Named to CSC Academic All-District®

SAN FRANCISCO - Five student-athletes from the San Francisco State women's soccer have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Serrena Brito played in every game and started in 13. She notched her first career assist in Cal State San Marcos on Oct 10. Brito is currently majoring in Psychology.

Kelsey Burrus earns CSC Academic All-District for a second year. She's seen action in every game and made six starts. The senior will graduate with a degree in Public Health.

Ashley Crame started all 18 games at defensive and played the full 90 minutes for 13 of them. She is majoring in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.

Emily Gehrlein-Allen started every game of the season for the Gators and scored against Cal State San Marcos on Oct 10. The Redwood City native is currently studying Kinesiology.

Samantha Shim was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for a third year. She started all 18 games at midfield and will graduate with a degree in Biology.

To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
