SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco State Wrestlers Hayden Ancheta and Andre Dargani returned home from the South East Asian games in Thailand with some hardware. Ancheta placed second in the 57kg while Dargani placed third at 74 kg.

"Congratulations to Hayden Ancheta for earning silver and Andre Dargani for taking bronze at the Southeast Asia Games in their senior level debut!" stated Head Coach Jason Welsch. "Ancheta fell short in the finals against Vietnam after besting Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Go Team Philippines!"

The pair were coached by SF State alumni Austin Solari '18, current coach at San Francisco RTC and Phillipines National Coach.

Ancheta beat the wrestler from Indonesia by decision (6-3), pinned the wrestler from Myanmar by pin and beat the wrestler from Thailand by tech fall (15-2) before falling to Vietnam.

Dargani picked up a win against Timor-Leste
