FRESNO, Calif. -  The San Francisco State men's track and field team opened up the season at the Sunbird Invite, hosted by Fresno Pacific.

Benjamin Elfenbaum placed tenth to lead the Gators in the 800m and was 1.47 seconds off of breaking two minutes. Jesus Aguilar led a crowed group in the 3000m with a 13th place finish and crossed the finish line at 8:47.64. He was only three seconds shy of cracking the top ten.
