GUNNISON, Colo. – The San Francisco State wrestling team finished in eighth place at the NCAA Division II Super Regional IV at Western Colorado's Mountainer Fieldhouse. The Gators had a pair of top-three finishers who now advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships in Indianapolis.

Johnny Lopez, who is ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division II at 141 lb. by the NWCA, worked his way back from the consolation bracket to finish in third place at 133 lb. Senior Kyle Botelho finished in second place at 165 lb. Lopez will be making his first NCAA Division II Nationals appearance while Botelho returns after a tough draw last season.

Zane Stoddard (157 lb.) and Sean Yamasaki (149 lb.) each recorded a pair of wins on the day and finished in sixth place in their respective weight classes.
