BSB | Eichhorn Earns NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Week Honors

SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco State pitcher David Eichhorn has been named the NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 3-9.

Eichhorn threw a complete-game shutout against Cal State Dominguez Hills. The senior right-hander went nine innings, allowing only two hits and no walks while striking out six. Eichhorn only faced one over the minimum. It was his second career complete game. His win helped SF State split the four-game series and improve to 11-9 overall and 7-5 in CCAA play.

Eichhorn, who was named FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week on Monday, has a CCAA-leading ERA of 1.13 through four games. The Aptos, California native is also the CCAA leader in WHIP (0.88) and is tied for third in wins (3). Click here to see the CCAA baseball stats leaders.
