Perséas Gioukaris of the San Francisco State women's basketball team has been named to the CSC Academic All-District® women's basketball team, as selected by
College Sports Communicators.
The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played OR
must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Gioukaris played in 26 of 27 games with two starts and averaged 11.2 minutes per game. She score 47 points, grabbed 25 rebounds, stole the ball 16 times, dished out 12 assists and blocked the ball three times.
