SANTA BARBARA, Calif. —The RV San Francisco State baseball team's postseason came to an end at NCAA West Regionals. The Gators fell behind early against #19 Cal State Monterey Bay and dropped the first game of the day 7-3. In an elimination game against the host school #6 Westmont, the Gators battled and played one-run baseball all game long but ultimately fell 3-2.
- SF State concludes the season at 33-23, making regionals for back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1981 and 1982.
- The program had several record holders leave their mark this season. Daniel Murillo broke the single season hits record (93) Michael Cunningham broke the single season runs record (65) and program home run record (27). Daniel Santos broke the program hit record (227). Justin Johnson broke the program RBI record (128) in only two seasons.
- Murillo launched his 13th home run of the season and sits behind Michael Cunningham for most on the team.
- Nicholas Allred and AJ Schrader each had doubles on the day.
- The Gators turned three double plays between two games today.
The Otters put up a three-spot in the first inning. With runners on the corners and one out, a failed pick-off allowed a runner to score. Back-to-back rbi singles by Cole Murchinson and Max Farfan gave them a 3-0. A sac fly in the fourth extended the Otters lead to 4-0. The Gators offense showed some life in the fifth when Murillo blasted a two-run homer in the fifth. Felix homered in the bottom of the inning to get a run back. The Otters added a run in the sixth, Gators hit a sac fly in the top of the seventh and Otters scored again in the bottom of the inning to take a 7-3 lead. The Gators had a runner in scoring position in the top of the eighth with one out but could not capitalize on it.
- The program's all-time strikeout leader Nathan Shinn (7-4) took the mound one final time. He went six innings, gave up ten hits, seven runs and tossed five strikeouts. He concludes his career with 273 career strikeouts.
- Nick Bacura went two innings in relief, giving up a hit and a run while tossing two strikeouts.
- Nate Rohlicek (5-2) picked up the win for Monterey Bay.

The Gators had an out in the bottom of the first and a Westmont runner at first. The runner stole second and advanced on the errant throw to second. A ground out plated him at home to give Westmont a 1-0 lead. The Gators loaded the bases with no outs in the third.
Daniel Murillo hit a sac fly to bring one run in and a RBI double from Allred gave the Gators the lead. The Warriors retook the lead in the seventh with an RBI double followed by an RBI single. Down 3-2 in the top of the ninth, the Gators had runs on first and second with no outs.
Matt Sugden laid down a sac bunt to place both into scoring position.
AJ Schrader struck out on the next at-bat and
Derek Laferriere grounded out to third to end the game.
- David Eichhorn went 5.2 innings, giving up seven hits and three walks but only one unearned run to give the Gators a chance. He also tossed four strikeouts.
- Anthony Alvarez (1-3) went 1.1 innings, giving up two runs off three hits while tossing two strikeouts.
- Andrew Silva pitched a scoreless frame in the eighth to keep the Gators within one heading into the ninth.
- Pac West Pitcher of the Year Ryan Humphreys went seven inning in the win. He gave up two runs and five hits but fanned 11 strikeouts.
- Zach Yates picked up his 13th save.
