SAN FRANCISCO - Five student-athletes from the San Francisco State baseball team earned ABCA All-West Region honors.
Daniel Murillo and
Michael Cunningham earned First Team Honors while
Nicholas Allred,
Justin Johnson and
Nathan Shinn earned Second Team Honors.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-America teams will be announced on Friday, May 30. Only First Team All-Region selections are eligible for All-America honors.
Cunningham was recently named a NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention and earned All-West First Team Honors in both the NCBWA and D2CCA. He had 18 home runs en route to breaking the all-time home run record with 27 career homers. He also broke the single season runs record with 65. Cunningham slashed .336/.432/.642, was third on the team with 78 hits and also had 15 doubles. Cunningham also lead the Gators with 20 stolen bases. Thanks to a big 2025 season, Cunningham also ranks fifth in program history in RBIs (99) and ninth in runs (104).
Like Cunningham, Murillo earned West Region First Team Honors in both the NCBWA and D2CCA. Murillo holds the program hit record with 93 hits. The everyday lead-off short stop slashed .384/.457/.620 and second on the team in runs (60) and home runs (13). He also turned 34 double plays and only committed eight errors.
Shinn capped off his season going 8-4 on the mound with a 3.65 ERA. His 83 strikeouts on the season were fifth most in a single season. The program's strikeout leader ended his career with 273 strikeouts.
Johnson played and started in 52 games, splitting time at DH, third base and first base. He slashed .307/.377/.522 and was second on the team in RBIs with 56. Johnson had 63 hits with 11 going for doubles and 11 over the fence. Johnson went on a tear during the CCAA Tournament to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team and take sole possession of the all-time RBI record.
Allred played in 54 games with 53 starts all in the outfield. He led the team in batting average at .391 and was second on the team with 84 hits, fifth all-time in a single season. Allred also recorded 54 runs, 13 doubles and 10 stolen bases.
