SEASIDE, Calif. — The RV San Francisco State baseball team fell to the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters 10-3 to conclude the regular season. The Otters claimed the regular season title with the win while the Gators go into the CCAA Championship as the Third-Seed.
- SF State falls to 30-19 on the season and 25-15 in the CCAA. Monterey Bay improves to 33-16 and 26-14 in the CCAA
- .Stephen Espinoza was the only Gator with multiple RBIs, recording two.
- Daniel Murillo went 2-for-5 to give him 85 hits on the season, tied for third most in a single season.
- Monterey Bay out hit the Gators 16-7 that included a pair of home runs and five doubles.
With a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the first, Jaden Sheppard doubled to bring in a run.
Justin Johnson hit a lead-off double in the second,
Jackson Wood advanced him to third with a single and Espinoza hit a sac fly to score Johnson. Dominic Felice hit a three-run homer in the third. The Otters put up five runs in the fifth, capped off by a three-run homer from Max Faran to give the Otters a 9-1 lead. Espinoza hit an RBI single in the sixth and
Daniel Santos reached on an error to allow another run to score but the Gators could not get much else going the rest of the game.
The Gators open the CCAA Tournament hosted by Cal State LA on May 7. They play sixth seed Cal State San Marcos in an elimination game at noon. Live stats will be available at
