SAN FRANCISCO - Five San Francisco State wrestlers earned CSC Academic All-District.
Andre Dargani,
Laith Gilmore,
Steven Karas,
Kydyn Lima and
Sean Yamasaki all were honored for there efforts on and off the mats.
Dargani went 5-12 last season and placed fourth in the 149 lbs. at the inaugural MPSF Championship. The junior from Concord is majoring in Computer Science.
Gilmore wrestled as a heavyweight and put together a 7-9 record. He finished runner-up at the MPSF Championship to earn All-MPSF honors. Gilmore is majoring in Economics.
Karas recently wrapped up his wrestling career and went 6-6. He recently graduated with a degree in Kinesiology.
Lima went 9-3 at 174 lb last season and won the MPSF title in his weight class. The junior from Long Beach is majoring in Business Finance.
Yamasaki capped off a four-year and went 11-9 at 149lb last season and graduated with a degree in Kinesiology.
The 2025 Academic All-District® At-large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in their sports and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
