CSC Academic All-District

WTRK | Five Gators Named to CSC Academic All-District® Team

SAN FRANCISCO - Five San Francisco State women's track & field athletes earned CSC Academic All-District®. Lydia Binger, Katy O'Brien, Talynn Schroeder, Mina Tsai and Alexis Wachowski all were recognized for their efforts on and off the track.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Binger ran a personal best time of 15.02 in the 100m hurdle and recently graduated with a degree in Public Health and Health Education.

O'Brien capped off her career and finished fourth at the CCAA Championships in the 100m hurdle, running a personal best time of 14.89. The Orangevale native majored in Computer Science.

Schroeder placed fifth and sixth in the heptathlon and 100m hurdles respectively at the CCAA Championships. Her 4117 points in the heptathlon is sixth most in program history. The Yuba City native is majoring in Biology and Kinesiology.

Tsai ran a personal best time of 12.14 in the 100m at the Fresno Pacific Invitational and recently graduated with a degree in Kinesiology.

Wachowski cleared 3.35m in the Pole Vault several times throughout the season, including at CCAAs to place fourth in the event. The mark is the third best in program history. Wachowski is majoring in Criminal Justice.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
