Men's and Women's Track & Field Earns USTFCCCA Academic Team Honors, Salinas Earns Academic Athlete Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The San Francisco State men's and women's track & field teams both earned USTFCCCA Academic honors. The women boasted a 3.52 GPA while the men had a 3.51 GPA. The men had the fifth-best GPA among Division II teams and best in the West Region. In addition to the team awards, Daisy Salinas earned individual USTFCCCA Academic Honors.

To qualify for USTFCCCA Academic team honors, a team ust have over a 3.0 GPA. To qualify as an individual, an athlete must have a cumulative GPA above 3.25 and rank among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor OR Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.

Salinas had a strong finish to her track career at SF State. She ran an NCAA provisional mark and second best time in school history at Mike Fanelli in the 3000m Steeplechase, clocking in at 10:55.33. Salinas earned All-CCAA Honors at the 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships by placing second in the Steeplechase. She also placed seventh in the 5000m at the championships. Her time of 17:54.60 was the seventh-best time in program history.
