SAN FRANCISCO - A record-breaking 1,150 student-athletes from 12 CCAA member institutions and 13 sports were recognized with CCAA All-Academic honors for the 2024-25 school year. All honorees posted a 3.40 grade point average or higher and earned a varsity letter in a conference-sponsored sport during the designated academic year.
 
The 1,150 honors shattered the previous record of 1,030 set last year. The CCAA began handing out All-Academic honors in 2005-06.
 
"Congratulations to all of the CCAA All-Academic honorees for once again setting a new conference record," said CCAA Commissioner Allen Hardison. "The dedication our student-athletes have towards academics and athletics is on full display with the impressive list of names. I am so impressed with the hard work these student-athletes put into academics, training, competition, and being leaders in our communities. It is something our conference is very proud of. Thank you also to our coaches, academic advisors, and administrators who help drive our student-athletes towards success daily."
 
Five universities each had more than 100 All-Academic selections. Cal State San Marcos led the way with 126 honorees, followed by Cal State East Bay with 118. Ten of 12 universities increased their all-academic selections numbers from 2023-24. Stanislaus State saw the largest increase as the Warriors nearly doubled last year's total (58) by placing 112 on the All-Academic Team this year. 
 
The CCAA and NCAA Division II support the educational mission of college athletics by fostering a balanced and inclusive approach in which student-athletes learn and develop through their desired academic pursuits, civic engagement with their communities, and athletics competition, creating a life in the balance.
 
The award is designed to demonstrate the academic achievements of each of the CCAA's 12 conference constituents. It illustrates just one of the many ways student-athletes in the conference take advantage of the unique opportunity Division II provides to compete in the classroom, on the field, in their career, for their causes, and on their terms.
