SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco State Wrestling's Hayden Ancheta and Andre Dargani will compete at the Philippine National Tournament on August 31. The pair of Gators will be competing to earn a spot on the Senior Philippine Nation Team for the upcoming Southeast Asia Games in December.

Ancheta recently competed at the U20 World Championships. He made history by becoming the first ever Philippines and San Francisco State athlete to win a match at the U20 Championships. Ancheta faced Riccardo Bonnano of Italy, an eight-time National Champion and Cadet European Bronze Medalist for his 1/8 final and won 15-12. He faced Ion Bulgaru of Moldova, aJunior European Bronze Medalist and fifth in the world, in his ¼ final match (quarter finals) and fell 14-3. He finished the competition placing 13th at 57kg.

The tournament will take place at the Tagaytay Sports Complex. Ancheta will compete in the 57 KG while Dargani will wrestle at 74 KG.
