WSOC | Gators Stumble In Second Half

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State women's soccer team held Cal Poly Humboldt to no score in the first half but ultimately fell 4-0.

  • The Gators and Jacks were even on shots in the first half with four. Humboldt fired 14 in the second half compared to the Gators' three.
  • Humboldt had eight corner kicks including six in the second half. The Gators had one.

How It Happened


After playing good defense in the first half, the Gators allowed Humboldt to break through. Ava Stevens took a cross from Heidie Munoz in the 54th minute to break the stalemate. Karsyn Ross and Alia Prentiss scored in the 64th and 65th minute to give Humboldt enough of a lead to ride on

Lillian Cook (0-3-0) played the entire 90 minutes, collecting three saves. Carol Thomson-Terrel started the first half and made two saves. Ariana Beddoes played the second half and also corralled two saves.
