COSTA MESA, Calif.— The RV San Francisco State wrestling team picked up a dominate 40-7 win over Westcliff and closed out the evening with a 25-14 win over Vanguard.

Against Westcliff, the Gators saw Zach Wright, Jackson Morgan, Kyle Botelho and Kydyn Lima all record falls to put the Gators up 40-7 and make it mathematically impossible for Westcliff to come back. Gavin Funk won by major decision and Laith Gilmore won by tech fall. Emilio Franco Sandoval wrestled in the final match of the dual and won a close 1-0 decision to get the Gators to 40 points.

Ancheta won by Decision and Chen earned a major decision to give the Gators an early lead. Othman helped swing momentum the Gators way with a major decision to put the Gators up 11-6. Botelho picked up his second pin of the evening and Lima won by tech fall to put the Gators up 22-6. Funk dropped his dual by tech fall and Gilmore kept his loss to a decision to secure the victory for the Gators. Franco Sandoval closed out the evening with another close win.
