SAN FRANCISCO - Antonio Aramburu of the San Francisco State wrestling team was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Wrestler of the Week. He earns his first MPSF in his career and becomes the second Gator to earn MPSF honors since Kyle Botelho earned it on Dec 9.

Aramburu won his first collegiate tournament, taking gold at the Mat 'Cat Open at 157lb. He won by a 16-0 tech fall to open the day, followed by a 12-0 major decision. Aramburu won by fall in 2:55 to punch his way into the Championship round. In the Championship match against Dylan Straley of Southen Oregon, Aramburu won 4-2. The two escapes he allowed were the only points an opponent recorded all weekend. 

The Gators are back in action on Jan 16 when they travel to Socal to face Westcliff and MPSF opponent Vanguard.
