SAN FRANCISCO - Five San Francisco State wrestlers were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® At-Large Team.
Hayden Ancheta,
Andre Dargani,
Laith Gilmore,
Josiah Hurd and
Kydyn Lima all were honored for their efforts on and off the mat.
Ancheta finished the season with a 18-8 record and won an MPSF title at 125lbs. He opened the season with a third-place finish at the Menlo open and placed fifth at the Roadrunner Open. At Regionals, Ancheta posted a 2-2 record. Academically, the Business Marketing major earned MPSF Academic and NWCA Scholar All-American honors.
Dargani earns CSC Academic All-District for a second straight season. He posted a 14-8 record and earned All-MPSF honors with a third-place finish. Academically, Dargani earned All-MPSF Academic and NWCA Scholar All-American. Dargani recently completed a degree in Computer Science.
Like Dargani, Gilmore earns Academic All-District for a second straight season. Gilmore wrestled at the MPSF Championships at 197 lbs and recently graduated with a degree in Economics.
Hurd went 7-6 on the season and wrestled at the MPSF Championships at 184lbs. He earned NWCA Scholar All-American and graduated with a degree in Business.
Lima earned his second straight CSC Academic All-District Honor and advances to the All-American Ballot. He became the first Gator to win back-to-back MPSF titles and earned All-American Honors with a sixth place finish at National Championships. Lima was named the MPSF Wrestler of the Year and finished with a 16-4 record. He earned NWCA Scholar All-American Honors and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
