WSOC | Gators Drop Final Non-Conference Game

ATHERTON, Calif. - The San Francisco State women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Menlo College to wrap up the non-conference slate.

  • SF State falls to 1-2-1 on the season. Menlo improves to 3-1-1.
  • The Gators took a season-high 11 shots with four on goal. Kiralyn Kuramoto took two shots on goal.
  • Menlo College dominated the Gators offensively and took 21 shots with nine on goal.
  • The Oaks held the advantage on corner kicks and took six compared to the Gators' one.

The Gators were tested early and faced four shots on goal in the first eight minutes of the game. Menlo finally broke through at 8:36 with a goal from Olivia Sams. The hopes for an SF State comeback where dashed in the 65th minute and the Oaks scored back-to-back goals within 21 seconds.

Peyton Graham (1-2-1) made five saves and allowed three goals. Maile Burnett checked in during the 69th minute for her first action of the season and did not record any stats. Caroline Cordes (3-1-1) made four saves.
