Biography
2011 CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in four of the Gators’ six scheduled races as a sophomore … Established a new 6K personal-best at the CCAA Championships after crossing the finish line at 23:19.50 (Oct. 22) … Contributed to SF State’s runner-up team standing at the season-opening Notre Dame de Namur Invitational where she placed 12th individually with a 24:31 clocking (Sept. 3) … Recorded her second-fastest time of the season of 24:02.5 at the SF State Invite, finishing 39th overall (Oct. 7) … Also saw action at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships for the second year in a row (Nov. 12).
2011 TRACK: Participated in one meet during the indoor season, logging a time of 5:41.46 in the 1-mile event at the UW Husky Open (Feb. 13) … Also competed in two outdoor races as an unattached runner … Turned in a third-place performance of 12:12.41 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Johnny Mathis Invitational (April 2) … Finished the 2-mile run at the SF State Distance Carnival with a 12:01.05 clocking (March 25) … Earned a spot on the Gator Athletics honor roll for the fall and spring semesters.
2010 CROSS COUNTRY: Cracked the starting line-up in all six races for the Gators during her freshman campaign ... Logged a 6K season-best performance of 24:17.8 at the CCAA Championships (Nov. 6) ... Was SF State’s third finisher at the Santa Clara Bronco Invite, crossing the tape in 43rd place at 19:35.1 ... Also competed in the NCAA West Regionals (Nov. 20).
PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2010 from Brea Olinda High School where she was a four-year varsity performer in both cross country and track … Earned cross country MVP honors as a junior … Received scholar-athlete distinction … Earned Athlete of the Month honors as well.
PERSONAL: Parents are Craig and Elizabeth Stark … Has one brother, Chris … Hobbies include running, biking, photography, yoga, sewing and playing the ukulele … Majoring in classical archaeology at SF State.
