2010-11: Saw limited action in his first season as a Gator, competing in five matches, including starts against Grand Canyon and Cal Baptist in a dual-meet doubleheader (Jan. 21).

PRIOR TO SF STATE: Transferred from Santa Rosa Junior College where he also played football ... Graduated in 2007 from Middletown High School ... Earned All-Redwood Empire honors ... Competed in football and golf during his prep career.

PERSONAL: Son of Bob and Gail Franklin ... Has an older brother Steve, who was a two-time All-American at heavyweight for the Gators in 2009 and 2010 ... Majoring in criminal justice.
