PRIOR TO SF STATE: Transferred from Chico State, where she was a three-year varsity letterwinner … Started 50 games as a sophomore in 2009, finishing with a .230 batting average and a career-high 19 RBI … Graduated in 2008 from Bear River High School, where she helped the Bruins to consecutive Pioneer Valley League and CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championships in 2007 and 2008 … Was a four-time all-conference selection and a first-team all-metro honoree  as a junior and senior … Landed on the all-state squad in 2007 … Collected her team’s MVP award on four occasions … Also won varsity letters in volleyball and water polo.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Mike and Colleen Wermes … Has one brother, Chris, and one sister, Candice, who played softball at Simpson University … Lists drawing, photography, snowboarding, wakeboarding and surfing as her favorite hobbies … Majoring in interior design at SF State.
