Biography

2013-14:  Finished his redshirt junior season with a 16-13 record...Department Honor Roll...Named to Division II All-Academic Wrestling Team....Finished 2nd in Menlo Invitational...Had two wins by fall, two by technical fall and two by major decision.

2012-13: Finished second season as a Gator with a 17-13 record....Went 1-2 at RMAC/Regional Championships....Named Menlo Invitational's Most Outstanding Wrestler by going 3-0 at 157 win two wins by fall and won by 15-0 technical fall...Finished 3rd in SF State U21 Open....

2011-12: Finished with four victories as a redshirt freshman … Emerged triumphant in his very first varsity bout, pinning Kyle Riggs of Southern Oregon at the Mike Clock Senior Open (Nov. 6) … Posted a 2-1 record at the prestigious NWCA Duals, defeating Dave Edwards of then-No. 11 Wisconsin Parkside by a 9-5 count before logging a 5-4 decision over Central Missouri’s Russell Naylor (Jan. 7).

2010-11: Utilized redshirt season … Wrestled in three matches as an unattached competitor at the Mike Clock Senior Open ... Earned a spot on the SF State Athletics Dean's List following the spring semester and landed on the honor roll for the fall.

PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2010 from Gilroy High School ... Captured the individual title in the 152-pound division at the CIF Central Coast Section Championships as a senior ... Also placed at the CCS meet on two other occasions ... Was a two-time All-Santa Clara County honoree ... Took fifth place at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
