PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2012 from San Fernando High School where he helped the Tigers capture three Valley League 1 titles ... Qualified for the state meet after winning the CIF City Section Championships during his junior and senior seasons ... Was a two-time all-area selection ... Claimed with the individual crown at 133 in the 2011 SCWAY state junior meet ... Also finished in the top 16 at the 2011 FloNationals in the 125-pound division.
