2011 TRACK: Posted solid numbers once again during her junior campaign, garnering all-West Region accolades in both indoor and outdoor competition in the inaugural Division II regional rankings by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) … Qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in the discus throw for the third consecutive season on the strength of her season-long distance of 154-02, winning the event at SF State’s own Johnny Mathis Invitational (April 2) … Earned all-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors in the discus (146-09), hammer (155-01) and shot put (45-03.75) after a trio of runner-up finishes at the conference championships (May 7) … Broke the school record in the shot put with a toss of 45-09.25 at the Cal State Stanislaus Twilight Qualifier (May 13) … Improved on her career best in the hammer throw at UC Davis’ Woody Wilson Classic with a heave of 160-07, which ranks third on SF State’s all-time performance list. (April 16) … Captured an additional event title in the shot (42-02.75) at the Kim Duyst Invite (March 5) … Also completed a strong indoor slate, provisionally qualifying for the DII national meet in the shot put and weight throw … Eclipsed her own school record in the shot at the Flotrack Husky Open with a distance of 44-08.75 (Feb. 13) … Established a new career best in the weight throw the previous day at the UW Husky Classic with a mark of 53-07.75, which ranks second in Gator history (Feb. 12).
2010 TRACK: Earned All-America honors in the discus throw for the second straight year after finishing second at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships with a school-record distance of 159-11 (May 29) … Her mark shattered her previous standard of 149-10 set at UCLA’s Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational (April 9) … Garnered all-CCAA accolades in three events at the conference meet after winning the discus throw title and placing second and third in the shot put and hammer throw, respectively (May 8) … Her shot put mark of 44-08.25 is a lifetime best and second-longest in Gator history … Record a career-long heave of 158-06 in the hammer throw at the Cal State Stanislaus Twilights, which ranks third on the school’s all-time outdoor performance list (May 14) … Captured event titles in the shot put and discus, while finishing second in the hammer throw at the Soka Peace Invitational (April 17) … Emerged victorious in the discus and was the top collegian in the hammer at SF State’s own Johnny Mathis Invitational (April 3) … Was also triumphant in the shot put and discus, respectively, at the UC Davis Classic (March 20) and Cal State Stanislaus’ Kim Duyst Invite (March 6) … Was named CCAA Female Track and Field Athlete of Week on two occasions … Also excelled during the indoor campaign, establishing a new school record in the shot put (43.05.75) at the UW Husky Open (Feb. 14) … Set a career-best in the weight throw (53-01.50) at the University of New Mexico’s Cherry and Silver Invite, which ranks second in Gator indoor history (Jan. 23).
2009 TRACK: Became SF State’s first All-American thrower since Cammie Carroll in 2004 after finishing sixth in the discus throw at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships ... Earned all-CCAA honors after capturing the shot put title with a winning toss of 43-07.75 at the conference meet ... Came away with the discus throw crown at the Chico Twilights with a season-best distance of 148-11 ... Set an NCAA Division II qualifying mark in the shot put at the Gator Preview with a first-place and career-long mark of 44-00.75, which ranks second in school history ... Notched a season-best throw of 142-07 in the hammer throw at the Hornet Invitational ... Logged an indoor best in the shot put with a second-place distance of 40-05 at the UW Husky Winter Preview ... Placed fourth in the weight throw (45-04.50) at the Husky Indoor Classic.
PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated from Milpitas High School in 2008 ... Captured the De Anza League shot put title all four years ... Was the CIF Central Coast Section champion in the event as a sophomore and senior ... Also took first in the discus at the CCS meet and finished fifth in the shot put at the CIF state meet in 2008 ... Was a multi-sport star for the Trojans, earning first-team all-De Anza League honors in basketball for three seasons and first-team all-conference volleyball accolades on two occasions.
