Biography
2012 TRACK: Competed in five meets during the outdoor campaign, including the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific, where she logged a career-fast time of 19:04.71 in the 5,000 meters (April 20) … Placed 22nd in the same event at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships after crossing the finish line in 19:18.51 (May 4) … Clocked in with a season-best 5:04.41 in the 1,500 at Cal State Stanislaus’ Kim Duyst Invitational (March 3) … Took first in the opening heat of the 1-mile run (5:40.37) at the Run for the Dream Invitational in Fresno to kick off the indoor schedule (Jan. 20) … Lowered her time to 5:26.19 in the event three weeks later at the UW Husky Open (Feb. 12) … Earned a spot on the SF State Athletics Dean’s List for the fourth straight semester following the spring term.
2011 CROSS COUNTRY: Successfully recovered from an off-season back injury, emerging as the Gators’ No. 3 runner in five of six meets she ran … Posted the sixth-fastest 6K time in SF State history after finishing 35th at the CCAA Championships with a career-best 22:47 (Oct. 22) … Helped the Gators to a seventh-place standing at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships where she placed 47th with a 23:00 clocking (Nov. 12) … Opened the year with a 13th-place performance of 24:36 at the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational (Sept. 3) … Took 15th at the Sonoma State Invite after crossing the tape at 24:00 (Oct. 1) … Also competed at the SF State Invite (Oct. 7).
2011 TRACK: Spent the entire spring recovering from a back injury … Earned a spot on the SF State Athletics honor roll for the fourth straight semester.
2010 CROSS COUNTRY: Was the Gators' top runner in the 5K open event at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, posting a time of 18:47.5, which was good for ninth place overall ... Emerged as SF State’s No. 2 finisher in three of the five other races she ran during her sophomore campaign, including the CCAA Championships, where she clocked in with a 6K career-fast performance of 23:20.8 to wind up in 30th place ... Helped the Gators to a second-place finish in the team standings at the Stanislaus Invitational after crossing the tape in seventh at 23:47 ... Also notched a 54th-place effort in wintry conditions at the NCAA Division II West Regionals with a time of 24:41.7 ... Received USTFCCCA all-academic recognition.
2010 TRACK: Established a new personal-best in the 1,500 meters after crossing the finish line in 4:55.13 at the CCAA Championships … Posted a season-fast 19:25.95 in the 5,000 meters at the conference meet as well … Placed third in the 1,500 (4:58.79) at the Soka Peace Invitational… Was the Gators’ second finisher in the 2-mile event (11:55.02) at the SF State Distance Carnival … Also logged a time of 11:13.16 in the 3,000 meters at the UW Husky Open, which ranks 10th on the school’s all-time indoor performance list … Was named to the SF State Athletics honor roll for both the fall and spring semesters.
2009 CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in all six of the Gators’ scheduled races in her first season ... Began the year with two straight top-10 finishes, placing seventh at the 2.75-mile CSUMB Invitational (18:15) and eighth at the 5K Mills College Invitational (21:02), helping the Gators to the team title in both meets ... Logged her fastest 6K time of the year at the NCAA West Regional where she finished 88th with a 24:02 clocking.
PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2009 from Buchanan High School ... Garnered All-Tri-River Athletic Conference accolades on three occasions and was a three-time All-Valley choice ... Collected Rookie of the Year honors by the Fresno Bee ... Was also a three-time All-Conference and two-time All-Valley performer in track.
