Biography

2013:  Earned All-West Region honors for the second straight year finishing 10th at the NCAA Division II West Regionals with a time of 25:13…advanced to the NCAA Division II Championships where he finished 121st out of 246 runners, completing the 10k race in 32:33.4…earned All-CCAA honors for the third consecutive year after finishing 10th at the CCAA Championships at Hooker Oak Park in Chico, Calif…made his 2014 debut at the Roy Griak Invitational where he finished 17th out of 468 runners with a time of 26:00.1…in his final warm-up before the CCAA Championships he placed seventh out of 120 runners at the SF State Invitational, crossing the line at 25:32.9.

2012: Established himself as the Gators' top runner and earned himself All-California Collegiate Athletic Association and All-West Region honors ... Grabbed a season-best placement at the CCAA Championship Meet where he took third with a time of 25:43.8 (8K) and helped the team take fifth place ... at the West Region Championships, took ninth place out of 134 runners, crossing the finish line at 32:29 (10K) ... on Nov. 17 for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Div. II Championship Meet, finished a team-best 45th place and grabbed a personal record of 30:36.6 in the 10K, becoming the second best all-time runner in the 10K just under John Moreno's record of 30:33.00 set in 1977, and helping SF State have one of the most successful finishes in program history by placing 22nd as a team ... also picked up a personal record in the 8K event on Sept. 29, clocking in at 25:05.41 to take the third spot on the Gators' all-time performance list ... was named to the SF State Athletics Honor Roll for the Spring 2013 semester.

2011:  Was the Gators’ No. 2 runner in five of six races during his sophomore campaign, including the 8K California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships, where he garnered all-conference honors after placing 15th overall at 26:36.50 (Oct. 22) ... Helped SF State capture four straight team titles, including the 4.2-mile NDNU Invitational, where he landed in the fifth spot with an effort of 22:00 (Sept. 3) ... Placed 10th at the University of Washington’s Sundodger Invite with an 8K career-best time of 25:18.45, which ranks ninth on the school’s all-time performance list ... Posted the fifth-fastest 10K time in school history with a 32:23 clocking at the NCAA Division II West Regional meet. where he finished in 32nd place (Nov. 5) .... Landed on the SF State Athletics honor roll following the fall semester.


2010: Competed in five of six meets ... Turned in the third-fastest time by a conference freshman at the CCAA Championships, crossing the finish line with an 8K season-fast time of 25:53.00 to place 22nd ... Recorded a 26:12.70 clocking at the Bronco Invitational  ... Was the Gators’ No. 2 finisher at the NCAA West Regionals where he completed the 10K course in 34:05.00 en route to a 54th-place standing.

PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2010 from Prospect High School  where he also ran track and played soccer ... Was named his track team's MVP during his junior and senior campaigns and  garnered the same honors for cross country in 2009 ... Also received the Panther Paws award in 2010, signifying Prospect High's outstanding male athlete of the year.
