Manuel Hurtado joined the men's soccer coaching staff as the head Assistant Coach ahead of the 2024 season.
Prior to San Francisco State, Hurtado coached with College of the Desert since 2017. During his first two years as an assistant coach, he worked with both the men's and women's soccer programs, and was elevated to head coach in 2021. In his time as head ciach, Hurtado posted a win-loss percentage of .675, fathered a successful graduation rate of 85 percent, and helped ten student-athletes go on to play soccer at universities throughout the country.
In addition to College of the Desert, Hurtado has served as an Academy Scout for Real Salt Lake and as the Director of Coaching Area Director for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
