Rebecca Faulkner joined the San Francisco State softball coaching staff in September 2021 ahead of the 2022 season.
Prior to joining SF State, Faulkner served as an assistant softball coach at her alma mater, Carlmont High School. Faulkner played collegiately at UC Riverside and served as a relief pitcher and designated hitter. The 2019 graduate accumulated numerous accolades including Big West Second Team and NFCA Softball Pacific All-Region Second Team honors in 2015 and 2017.
During the 2015 campaign, Faulkner finished the season as the NCAA Division I saves leader with eight and led the Highlanders in all three slash line categories (home runs, RBI, and total bases). Faulkner was named UC Riverside's Freshman Athlete of the Year that same season. After battling multiple injuries, Faulkner still finished her career with a .303 batting average and 4.89 ERA.
Faulkner graduated from UC Riverside with a BA in Sociology. She also holds a personal training certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
