Biography

2011:  Enjoyed another productive season at the plate, tying for the team lead with 60 total bases and seven doubles ... Ranked second on the squad in batting average (.320) on-base percentage (.386) and slugging percentage (.469) ... Finished with two or more hits on 11 occasions and had five games with multiple RBI ... Ended the year with a 10-game hitting streak, batting .515 during that stretch ... Went a combined 5-for-8 with a homer, three RBI and three runs scored to help SF State sweep a doubleheader at Cal State Stanislaus (April 22) ... Also logged a 3-for-4 performance with two dingers and four RBI in the Gators’ 11-4 victory over Notre Dame de Namur in the second game of a twin bill (April 7) ... Assisted with a team-best 13 double plays ... Earned a spot on the SF State Athletics honor roll for the spring semester.

2010: Completed a highly successful debut campaign, making 31 starts in 33 games as a true freshman ... Finished third on the squad with 56 fielding assists and ranked fourth with six sacrifice bunts ... Knocked in the winning run in SF State’s 11-10 thriller over Notre Dame de Namur (Feb. 16) ... Smacked her first home run as a Gator in the second inning of a 4-3 victory over Cal State Stanislaus (Feb. 19) ... Also recorded with two hits, featuring a solo blast, in the first game of a doubleheader at Grand Canyon (March 21) ... Scored a season-high two runs at Cal State Monterey Bay (April 2) .. Landed on the SF State Athletics Dean’s List following the fall semester.

PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2009 from Rocklin High School ... Garnered first-team all-Sierra Foothill League honors as a junior and was named the conference’s defensive player of the year ... Also received honorable mention all-SFL distinction as a senior and was named to the 2009 Optimist All-Star team.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jason and Wendy Powell ... Has three siblings, Cameron, Autumn and C.J. ... Plans to major in kinesiology at SF State.
