Mone Peoples

Moné Peoples

Peoples joined the San Francisco State women's basketball program ahead of the 2024-25 season. She was named interim Head Coach prior to the start of the 2024-25 season. In her first year leading the program, Peoples increased the team's win total by four games and limited opponents to almost four fewer points per game than the previous season.

Prior to San Francisco State, Peoples was the assistant coach for City College of San Francisco dating back to June 2022. During her time there, City College went 45-13. Her duties included developing game strategies and practice plans, scouting and recruiting players, and monitoring academics. Peoples served as an assistant coach at nearby Lick-Wilmerding from 2016 to 2022.

Peoples also brings professional playing experience to the program. From September 2016 to January 2019, she played for Olympia Basket Trani in the top Italian basketball league. From September 2013 to June 2016, Peoples played for Fjolnir Karfa in Reykjavik,Iceland. There, she was selected as team captain and was named league MVP and Import Player of the Year.

Peoples graduated from University of West Georgia in 2013. As a member of their women's basketball team, Peoples earned All-Conference honors in addition to being named Team MVP.
